Breastfeeding room

The breastfeeding and family room can be used for breastfeeding and pumping as well as for prayer, as a family room and as a quiet and retreat space. It is located on the first floor of the 124c teaching building and can be reached by all employees within a short time.

The quiet and family room can be locked from the inside. There is a sofa, a table, chairs, a fridge with a freezer compartment, a simple kitchen, a changing table and a prayer mat as well as various textiles. For reasons of hygiene, pets are not permitted.

Building 124c is open from 06:30 to 18:00. To get to the breastfeeding and family room, enter through the yellow door and then take the lift to the first floor. Over the next few months, the yellow door will be fitted with a Campus Card lock and will therefore also be accessible in the evening and at night.

The breastfeeding and family room is located at the end of the corridor on the left and is labelled with the following pictogram:

Please contact Mr Andreas Glarner (Tel. 42217, andreas.glarner@unibe.ch) if you have any questions regarding access to and maintenance of the breastfeeding and pumping room. If you have any suggestions regarding the facilities, please contact Ms Nora Gassner  (Tel. 42302, nora.gassner@unibe.ch).

A breastfeeding and pumping room is available in the Small Animal Clinic for breastfeeding mothers of the Vetsuisse Faculty. The room is located on the ground floor to the right in front of the reception, directly opposite the men's cloakroom: Room 065, "Sleeping and breastfeeding room". It is labelled with this pictogram:

The room is also used by students as a bedroom at night; it is therefore used for two purposes. We ask for mutual consideration and would like to draw your attention to the spacious breastfeeding and family room in the 124c teaching building.

The breastfeeding and pumping room can be locked from the inside. There is an armchair, a table and a breastfeeding cushion. Sanitary facilities are located directly opposite in the ladies' cloakroom and a microwave for sterilising and a refrigerator with freezer compartment are located in common room 020. There is also a changing table in the toilet for people with disabilities on the ground floor.
