This is the underpinning slogan of the 2030 strategy of the Vetsuisse Faculty, University of Bern, approved by the Collegium on June 27, 2022.
In its overarching strategy, the Vetsuisse Faculty has outlined its intention to maintain its position as a leading veterinary faculty in Europe. It sees itself as an essential partner in the "One Health" concept.
The Bern location aligns with this positioning and envisions a society where animal health and welfare are given top priority. Many aspects of animal health are closely linked to human medical health and environmental protection (e.g. food, antibiotic resistance, pathogenesis, and disease therapy). Knowledge in this area is a crucial resource for better understanding connections, promoting animal health and welfare, preventing disease spread, and supporting a sustainable society.
